Home Sweet Home ATC Swap

These are some ATC's I made for Kopperhead's Home Sweet Home swap. We had to put some kind of home or something that relates to home on our ATC's for this swap. These are what I came up with.

The first one is of one of my favorite movies. Home Alone. I remember watching this movie and being from a big family wishing I could stay home alone sometimes. Besides it is hilarious!!

This next one I wanted something for a new home. The background is glossy cardstock with alcohol inks I put a little of the gold and is shines so pretty, I love the effect.

The next ATC is a tribute to Sweet Home Alabama...it is a picture of a cute boy sleeping with his room all decorated with Alabama decorations.

This ATC is one of my favorites. I used the blue and silver alcohol inks and swirled it to give it a wave look like the sea. I always wanted to live in a lighthouse, I just think they represent strength that withstands storms and guides people home.

Kopperheads August Swap-Trees

I created this card for Kopperheads Trees Swap. We had to use trees on some project so I created this gate fold card. I embossed the tree and pagoda with silver, on the background I used perfect pearls...it was my first time using them and loved it.

Gina's Card Swap-October

This is a card for Gina's Card Swap-October-Christmas. I really like blue and white for Christmas colors and snowflakes. I used some stickles on the card but it didn't show up so well.

Gina's Card Swap-September

This is a card for Gina's Card Swap-September-Button or Tied. We had to use buttons or tied ribbon or fibers on the card. I love the simplicity of this card and the K & C paper.

Gina's August Card Swap

this card is for Gina's Card Swap-August-Animals on Parade. I love this giraffe stamp and thought this was the perfect card to use it on.

Purple Friend Card

This is a card front again for Gina's Card Front Swap-October.
We had to make a card designed around a sketch she gave us. I love purple so I wanted to do something purple for this card.

Fall Card Front

This is a card front for Gina's September Card Front Swap. We had to use fall colors and fall items. So, I used three different kinds of fall paper and tore it and distressed it added some ribbon and some fall leaves. Sorry the picture is blurry.

Birthday Card

Here is the card front for Gina's Card Front Swap-August...the theme was Inside/Out so you had to make a card front with a insert for the inside of the card. I came up with this Happy Birthday card for one of those purse people we all have in our life.

Animal ATC's

These are the ATC's I did for Dreamers Animal ATC swap on Cricut.com. We signed up for different animal groups and I signed up for Farm Animals, Sea Life, Butterflies and Birds. This is what I came up with.

Farm Animals- Cow
I used a brayer for the grass and sky, stamped the cow and used stickles on the bell.

Butterflies in Flight
I used some pretty back ground paper, and punched out acetate butterflies, inked them with Ranger Inks, and used Perfect Pearls on the lettering Flight. The butterflies actually look like they landed on the paper.

Blue Bird
I stamped an image on white cardstock watercolored it with chalks, used glitter for the beak and feet, used cuttlebug to emboss background paper and highlighted with glitter pen, put on a couple of dew drops.

Crabs N Starfish
I used K&Co background shell paper, punched out starfish and little crabs, used stickles for the crabs eyes and used dimensionals for the starfish.

Creative Connections Community Group

I have been leading a community group through my church this summer and it has blessed me so very much. It is a ladies group and we have anywhere from 8-12 ladies each week that come. I am teaching them that we all can be creative since we were made by the ultimate creator God. One week we made "God Cans". This is something I do for myself and wanted to share it with them. We can't do anything, but God CAN so I write down my prayers on little pieces of paper and stick them in my God Can...that way it is a visual that I am turning that over to God. Then on the first of each month I pull them out and look at them and if God answered a prayer I stick it in a prayer journal and write how He answered that prayer. Then I have a record of how God is working in my life. I have a friend that made one and if her prayer is about someone else she takes that slip of paper and puts it in a card and writes how God answered it and mails it to that person so they know she was praying for them and how He answered it. I think that is just a cool way to show your friends how your praying for them and how God is working in their lives.

I thought I would share a picture of my group and their God Cans!!!

Stationary Holder.

This stationary holder I made for a special someone. Again with the pink...LOL. Here is the outside of the box.

Here is the inside of the box...isn't it cute? It has a small notebook, and postage stamp holder.

I packed it full of cards, 3x3 notecards and tags.

I actually looked up youtube videos for this and you can find the video on how to make this right here. There are two videos for this stationary box..be sure to watch both. Have fun!!!

Card Front Swap

This is for a card front swap hosted by GRKiddo on Cricut.com. We had to use butterflies on the card. I don't know why but I have been a pink mood lately.

Card Swap June 2010

This is a card that I made for GRKiddo June Card Swap-We had to use a Cricut sentiment. So I chose Thanks, I embossed the black and added a half circle to the card. I love pink and black together.

Kopperhead's Skinny Card Swap

I created this card for Kopperhead's Papercraft Skinny Card Swap. I found this awesome paper and just had to use it for this card. My colors were turquois and brown. I love those two colors together. You can't see that well, but the butterflies stick up along with the flower. I always love Kay's swaps because the talent in this group of ladies is amazing.

This is a better picture when it comes to seeing how the butterflies are in flight, but a little blurry.

Vacation ATC's

Now that I finally have my camera all charged up I can post some much needed photos.

I am hosting an ATC swap for your favorite vacation spot or vacation event on Cricut.com. I have always wanted to scuba dive so my first ATC is just that.

This next one is of Las Vegas, I was born there and love to gamble!! Thank God we don't live anywhere near there or my family would be living under a bridge. LOL.

I would love to go to The Great Barrier Reef to scuba dive or snorkel. I just think the little creatures in the ocean are too magnificant....God's creation just has me in awe sometimes.

Now, ever since I have been a kid I wanted to go to Greece. I think the stucco buildings, fantastically blue water and Greek food are all things I would enjoy. Besides one of my favorite movies is My Big Fat Greek Wedding....love that movie.

Chellsea's Graduation Cake

I made this cake for a dear friend Ruthann's grand daughter's graduation party. Thanks to Melissa and Tammy for all their help. I couldn't have done it without them. Chellsea loved her cake and Ruthann said that everyone kept asking if it came from a professional cake maker....that made me feel so good. Thanks to Ruthann for trusting me with such an important cake for her family!!!

Community Group-Creative Connections

Well, I am finally going to put some of my creative abilities to the test over the summer. I am leading a Community Group through my church called Creative Connections. Each week we will be creating something new, such as cards, journals, altered art and such. I am so excited I can hardly stand it...a little scared too, but I know that will pass. I hope to teach the woman that everyone has creativity and how to tap into that. That God the ultimate Creator has given us each the gift to create. It is going to be a great time and I know each woman will be blessed to see what she can create. Please pray for me and my co-leader Tammy Powers as we lead and serve these woman.

If you have any ideas you want to pass along to me it would greatly appreciated!!!

Vintage ATC's-GrammaP Swap

I made this ATC for Grammap's Vintage ATC swap on Cricut.com. I loved the show I Love Lucy, so I just had to make this ATC. This is for the red, pink and purple catagory.

This is a Betty Boop, which is for the yellow, orange and brown catagory. The picture is a little blurry, but I liked how it came out.

This is for the blue/green catagory. Tiffany Lamp Company. I have always been very fond of Tiffany lamps, but I only have a few replicas.

This is for the any color goes catagory. This was such a cute picture of this lady in an old swimsuit I had to use it. I used a foil tissue to add that shiny look.

Altered Wall Sign

I am trying out all these new things for a church womens community group that I will be leading this June. I am calling it Creative Connections...so I am going to be teaching the women to get in touch with their creative side that God has given each of us. Since He is the ultimate creator we will be also learning and studying verses in bible about creation, transformation and making old things new.

These hearts I got at michaels and stamped faith, hope and love then added some homemade tissue flowers. This was very fun to make.

Altered Cross

This is a cross I picked up at Michaels and painted it and added some stones and a charm....it is made to hang on the wall.

Vintage ATC

This ATC is for GrammaP's Vintage ATC swap on cricut.com. I am telling you I found so much inspiration for these atc's....it was a blast to try and find pictures for this swap.

This is my very first Vintage ATC-This is for the black/white and one other color catagory. I titled it "Contemplative" because the women looks like she is contemplating something. I crinkled the background paper and used distress inks and I am in love with fibers so I had to add that too.

ABC ATC Swap

These ATC's are for JeanP ABC ATC swap on cricut.com. This swap was so much fun....but I had these already in the package ready to go and forgot to take pictures so I had to reopen package to photograph...I hate when I do that.

N is for Nickel. You can't see the background is done in alcohol inks on glossy paper.

L is for Lillypad.

Womens Retreat Goodie Bags-TCAL Ladies-Spoiler Alert-Don't look if you want to be surprised.

Our church is having it's very first women's retreat at the end of the month. This last couple of weeks we have been preparing for what is going in the goodie bags for each lady that attends. First, I have to say when we orginally started sign ups for the retreat we on the team thought we may have 40 women sign up and every week it started to get bigger and bigger....so as of this last week we have 110 women signed up to attend. That is such an answer to prayer!!! But to tell you the truth I was a little freaked out at preparing goodie bags for 110 women....I stated to think "Lord, how am I going to accomplish this? I bit off more than I can chew". But God in His gentle nudging reminded me You Tammy will not accomplish anything if you don't rely on ME and drop your pride and ask for help. So, I asked a few friend over to help and let me tell you they were all such a blessing to me. Words can not describe how much they helped me and how grateful I am to each of them. We spent a couple of long days at my house working diligently and we finished everything.

Kim and Brian Fultz (yes a man helped), Melissa White, Kelley McElreath and Kristine Pratt you have been my creative angels this last week!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now, here are just a couple items we made this last week. We made 120 of each item.

Domino Necklaces

Here is what 120 of the necklaces look like...LOL.

These are altered composition books the ladies will be using as journals for the retreat. Our theme for the retreat is "unchained" so each journal has the verse Proverbs 107:14 "He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; He snapped their chains".

Here is what 120 journals look like.

These are just a few things going in the goodie bags, I hope each woman is blessed by the suprises waiting for her on the weekend.

ABC ATC's

These ATC's are for a swap that JeanP is hosting. We had to chose a letter and the theme had to start with that letter and the letter had to go somewhere on the ATC.

This was for the letter Y....Yarn.

This was for the letter P.....Pat A Cake

I haven't finished the other letters, but as soon as I do I will post them.
